- Teamfighting: League of Legends culminates in large-scale 5v5 team fights. Positioning, ability usage, and targeting the right enemies (or protecting the right allies) are critical for success.
- Patience and Learning: League has a steep learning curve. Don’t be discouraged by early losses. The in-game tutorial is a non-negotiable step for new players. League’s Multiplayer Practice Tool now allows up to 10 players, enabling friends to practice combos and scenarios together.
- Adapt to Bounty Changes: Bounty mechanics have been tweaked in Season 2 (April 2025) to prevent unfair snowballing; bounties will only appear when a team is clearly ahead, not just based on individual kill score. Champion gold also scales with levels, slightly rewarding losing teams.
- Role Swapping: Riot now allows players to swap roles during champion select, which helps prevent roles from being wrongfully assigned.
